UFO Attack: Sew Chicago Strikes Back!

At our June meeting, we dug into our baskets of dashed hopes and grandiose plans, swallowed our pride, and shared our less-than-stellar moments in sewing. We laughed together and cringed as we heard the stories of a sleeve serged to the the body of a dress that was just about finished as Susan was due to leave for the opera,

the innovative idea Tina had to use the same bagging technique on her lined party dress that we learned for jackets that resulted in an infinite loop,

the cute baby sweater Sarah knitted for a friend she was SURE was going to have a girl

and the fun swing jacket I cut too short to wear. The suggestions were helpful, but even more so were the knowing nods and expressions of empathy. We’ve all been there.
